Alarm on 335 coupe??
Hi People,
Just a quick question and looked around but couldn't find an answer... Does the 335 coupe have an alarm system that comes with the car? Basically does it have the beeping sound when you lock or unlock the doors? Because at the delaer when i tried it out it didn't and i was suprised... I'm thinking that the beeping sound was deactivated. Or maybe not and it just doesn't come on a 335. Which would really suck. I mean your paying 60000$ (canadian) for a car i would expect it to at least have an alarm system of some sort and the beeping sound that lets you know when the car locks or unlocks... |

Yes, your key fob will control both locking/unlocking the car and the alarm at the same time. And you do need to get the alarm installed at the dealer if you want a acoustic confirmation on locking/unlocking and a blinking LED under the rear view mirror (If everything's the same as the E90). At my dealer, they quote me CAD$795 installed and I chose not to have it.

Depends what you mean by an alarm. If you get the 'alarm' installed by the dealer it adds an interior monitor, and tilt sensor that is integrated with the rest of the locking system. You can read about it in the manual.

my alarm + install was $615. I additionally removed the drivers door lock and put the UK dummy cap on so that the alarm can't be turned off and everything unlocked from someone breaking in to the car via the lock.
