Stupid... The guy is just going to get another car and race it again

CA should auction them off, so someone new can race it, and keep the cycle going. Soon enough, CA will be stable lol

Why? I can understand taking away this tards car for good and selling it off to someone else, but how does crushing solve anything? It's already out of his posession for good.

He can always get another car and do it again, but now that's one less sale to be made to try an jumpstart this economy.

The mentality is that the person would learn their lesson and never do it again.

This is not a guarantee of course but we can hope.

I love how so many people on the internet are getting pissed about this.

I HATE people who race on the streets, I have been in a situation when some retarded street racers put me and my loved ones in danger on the freeway. Since we cant crush them, might as well crush their cars.

As for the resale, I'm sure theres some issue between who actually owns the car after the authorities take it. Who owes the bank and so forth.

No, chances are they will do it again, they just wont pull over when they see cop lights, so it raises the danger to your average person..

Thats very possible.

But seriously, the average person doesnt have the money to pay off a 60k car and go out to buy another.

true, but you can tune a ton of cars to go just as fast - for a lot less.

So if it gets smashed - who cares, buy another and keep rolling. Any real races in CA often have a good buy in and payout for these guys, so an established racer can actually flip cars pretty quick.

Im not against street racing 100%, for instance if you are on an open freeway at 2am, just you another car who wants to go, and the eventual CHP hiding the the shadows - Go ahead.

But in the middle of the day when Soccer Mom Susie is taking the kids to practice is not cool at all..

There are also roads out in CA where the CHP and the "racers" have a shaky Truce, like Mullholland for example..

I have to respectfully disagree, street racing is retarded regardless of venue.

If you really want to run someone, take it to the track. Its not hard.

Lol im right there with you, I was just saying that there is a "lesser of 2 evils" there. If someone wants to put them self in danger - go for it, its a free country. But putting others in danger is not good.

Basically, I'm mad because they could've sold that car to me for roughly $30k.

Isn't the lender at a lost with the car being crushed? (assuming it was financed)

pretty sure the owner still has to pay for it.

If the car has lien on it, then by law it would go back to the lien holder.
They could not crush the car if he did not own it.

one of the comments,

This Video has been grossly mislabeled by the poster..

The original video is from 10 months ago by a different user... STREET RACING is not the reason for this IS-F's crushing.. It's a corporate demo car, that can never be registered with DMV..

I have seen this done with prototypes and demo's it sad

Would explain why the brembos and wheels are gone. Hopefully the v8 is gone too.

I'm amazed by how long it took for the rear side glass to break.
