e92 LCI Tail Light Retrofit Is It Worth It?
Anyone who went through with an LCI retrofit , I just want to hear from someone who has done it weather they are happy they did if or would have just skipped it.
I have an 07 does that mean I have FRM2 or FRM1 I know the bulb check can be coded out just wondering Hope to get some feedback Thanks |

Well, it's $500+ for basically a cosmetic mod - guess it depends on you & how much more you like the LED style over bulbs...
Can't honestly say that I haven't spent that much, & more on simple cosmetic mods

From most researching i have done it seems you dont have to buy the module, just buy the harness from ecs and lenses and it can be coded.
Its expensive, but depends on where you're up to in terms of mods. I would rate rims/coilovers etc as a more aesthetically pleasing mod |

^^ +1 what he said
Did mine too, and you only need to code it out if the lights come with the harness. I love the fact that all lights are LEDs (except reverse light) comparing to pre-LCI that only the stop light is LED. |

I did it and it looks okay for sure. Makes it look refreshed like the more updated Model years. For the 500 is it worth it, that's for u to decide. You don't need a new module as 2007 has a FRM2 module but if your build date is 2/07 then you would have the old frm module. Either module you can make work with coding of the module which can be done by a local coder shop or Indy coder.

This.
Take a look in the coding section or post in your regional forum if you're looking for a coder.

I did it a few months back and I have a 07 E92 as well but I had to upgrade to the FRM 3 since the 1 was giving the coding portions trouble with the LEDs and my windows not closing properly.... I gotta say I love the retrofitting...

There is no need to upgrade to frm3. It will work fine on FRM or frm2. All that needs to be done is some coding. I have no idea why The guy needed to change to FRM3. Either he had a bad module or the coder had no idea what he was doing.
