BMW Nav 08-1 DVD?

Sorry if I missed this, but what does the 08-01 DVD Nav disc have that the 07-02 disc doesn't?

Pete, successive DVD releases will have updated map & route data, although this does always lag behind current info by several months.

Point of interest (POIs) & POI categories are also updated.

Sergei's 'De-luxe' version is also likely to have an updated European SpeedCam database within the POIs!

Hi Helen.

BMW / Navteq's 2008-1 SatNavPro DVD will definitely NOT have any speedcam POI data on it whatsoever.

However, various individuals, I'm sure, will do their best to ensure such a disc will become 'available', which will include the latest European SpeedCam database POIs, including those for the UK.

Any news on a torrent or newsgroup copy of the 2008-1 Professional EU version? I am willing to add the latest EU speed camera database to it but we need a copy of it first

There was a special offer to do just that in the UK last year. Don't know if it is still running ?

Hypothetically-speaking, a torrent could appear, as soon as production & testing was complete, I suppose.

If this were to happen, I expect the torrent would be advertised amongst the many available torrent search engines & trackers.

Perhaps the final iso will subsequently appear on the likes of Rapidshare?

If anyone were to feel that this sort of behaviour was 'naughty', then you could try paying for a new / upgrade to a 2008-1 disc at your dealer.
You'd have the comfort of knowing you will not have a single speedcam POI available anywhere across Europe or the UK.
