I will be short, since I just need a confirmation about a part number.
Last year my E92 325d started throwing ABS/DSC errors which soon became permanent; diagnose was dead ABS unit. I took my car to dealer who had some trouble finding replacement ABS unit. After 2 months of searching he installed unit which was from newer car and thus not 100% compatible with my car. ABS and DSC work, the only thing that remains is "start assist" not functioning warning, which kind of bothers me.

I decided that I will find compatible DSC unit myself. Mind you; after my mechanic swapped out DSC unit, he discarded original, non functional one and I was left without a sure reference part number to search for.

After lots of cross referencing and comparing different cars I have isolated part numbers which fit my car. And right now I have a chance to purchase refubrished unit which should fit my car.

Unit I have found has part number 34506784811 and my car came with 34506777160.

Realoem says 34506784811 is EXCHANGEABLE RETROSPECTIVELY with 34506777160 from which I deduct that unit is indeed compatible, since 34506784811 is newer.

Please, can anyone confirm that this data from realoem means that units are compatible?
