I know someone who fixed a hole in a Tacoma 4.0 block with JB weld.. motor hydro locked and threw a rod out the side...

he used this motor as a spare which actually got used a lot and had the dog poop hammered out of it for a few years and is still running...

its a dice toss...

epoxy might not be the worst idea ever. I mean, if it fails, you still gotta replace it anyway.

yeah. magnesium fires are nasty. you need a special fire extinguisher too, a standard ABC extinguisher won't work. And if you put water on it.. it explodes.

I think most people would just scrap this and source another engine but if the fix works and lasts please come back here and report how the fix holds up.
