Can we trust what idrive show us about maintanence?
Guys im confused about oil lvl in engine
I drive 318i and when i check on Idrive what is oil lvl, it show me little under max. , but 2 days ago i got yellow warning that my oil lvl is at min. and that i need fil +1L .... Ofcourse i do it and i again check it ..idrive show me same lvl ...Is it normal?? I dont have dip stick to check it like in older cars... |

Yes, that is normal. You have to drive the car for at least 10 minutes in traffic at speed for the e-dipstick to update with the new level.

I tunrnmy car on and wait idling 10mins to get a reading.
If you do it on a hill it might say add 1 L Did this the day after an oil change lol Best best to to park on a flat road and let it measure itself.

Na I don't trust the idrive, just use my own periodic intervals. For the oil level you need to have the car leveled. My parking spot is on a hill so I always get a warning till I drive for awhile lol.
