Anyone busted for tints in Central NJ lately?
Last month I was busted for tints in Freehold. I was totally shocked when the cop told me it's now a mandatory court appearance AND you have to show up with your front tints off so they can check your car. I went to court and before I could leave a cop came out and checked! WTF is going on? It was really the biggest waste of 3 hours in my life.
I've been busted probably 5 or 6 times before this in the last 5 years and just paid the $50 or w/e it was online. But now this is a complete sh*t storm and changes everything. I've NEVER heard of anyone going to court for tints. It makes me really angry Every time I see a NJ cop with tinted fronts it bugs the hell out of me. I was going to ask the judge about it but bit my tongue. Getting my ass handed to me by a judge on top of having to go into work late and having to remove my tints the day before would of probably made my head explode lol. This crap happening anywhere else? |

I got one in Metuchen last month and didn't have to show up in court. The cop told me to just send in the payment.

That sounds logical. I was at 20% all around with grey interior. Instead of being fully naked in the front I may go 45% all around and take my chances. They can see in perfectly fine with 45%

If you're young and drive a sporty car with dark tints. 7/10 cops who has nothing to do at that time will probably pull you over.
Most of the time they pull you over for tints and check your other stuff such as insurance and drugs in the car. LOL Tints give them a reason to pull you over. Most cops give breaks after they do that so i think taking the chance is well worth it compare to how a car looks so much better with tints. |

I know, it's a sad truth

Driving after I had my tints taken off was crappy. I hate the sun glaring in through my front windows, I felt like a vampire. The price to remove and replace is cheap where I go so that's a plus. |

I tried that. Cop pulled me over anyway. What made it obvious was the fact that it was 25 degrees outside and I have my windows all the way down, lol.

You'd think they wouldn't make people take them off so they can ticket them more in the future. Government doesn't make sense |
