I finally got to opening my ecu box today and I looked up again what it says on the FmVW website under the buzzken ad. It says remove fuse f05 I believe for the SCR which I don't need anymore. Well when I looked again to see if I could find them, I noticed the box was right in front of my face and that there were just no fuses in it. I looked them all up and I think I only saw maybe 2.. or 3? That I think k might even apply to our car.. one said crankshaft sensor, another was crankcase breather heater... am I just tripping or should these really not be all missing like they are?

When I got my tune (JR 2.5) I had to remove the same one, F05, the furthest one outboard of the DDE (ECU). They were in a plastic housing that clipped to the outside of the inner DDE housing. All 5 slots were full before that, very odd you have none.

Out of curiosity I checked mine when doing a bunch of work on my car and I noticed there is a plastic clamp covering the fuses that you need to remove before exposing the fuses. I think the whole block of fuses comes out together and then you can remove them.

Just FYI for the next person that might come across this.

Taking the cover off that small white 5 fuse container was a PITA.
