why did it go up omg. Anyways i ordered it. Putting it on my e90 should bring the wind noise down right? Or should i get a euro windshield replacement and they will install that part for me also?

Probably won't affect the wind noise, it's more to keep moisture from dripping down into your heater fan. |

Update on my E90.
Did air filter changes (cabin and engine air) at 190K ($50 parts, $40 labor). Put in a new mass airflow sensor because I was having stuttering issues ($200 part, $70 labor). My theory was the engine was starving for air and the two services mentioned really helped, but... didn't entirely fix the problem. Anyone else have the stuttering problems? Happens when hot and only at low RPMs only when taking off from a long traffic light. Funny thing is the air filter and MAF sensor changes greatly helped this problem. I'm thinking I have at least one fouled plug (replaced 30K mi ago). Anyone else have a good theory? Plugs are rather cheap and shouldn't cost much for labor. Not sure whether to replace plugs with NGK Iridium or the Bosch finewire. |

NGK. That is what I use on the BMW and our Audis.
Could it be the transmission? Or the oxygen sensors? Also check valve cover and CCV 3-way pipe vacuum leaks in addition to the DISA valves. If you pull the intake, change out the starter. I also changed out the alternator voltage regulator that was causing a couple of over voltage codes and misfires. |

06 N52 w/ 210k. Typical leaks and then I fix them. The valve cover gasket leaks every year. I do everything to the T. To include the tightening sequence. Still leaks back passenger corner. I do the work myself when things break.
Now the oil pan gasket is leaking. Not sure if I even want to tackle that. Even on quick jacks it can be a PIA. Last edited by Pittz1; 07-04-2022 at 10:09 AM.. |

I recently sold my 2006 wagon with 240,000 miles I that car ran like new. I have been so surprised with the build quality the E90 has. I didn't even want to sell it but a good friend of my mine was Begging me to see it to him. Lucky of me I found a 2007 Manuel wagon with 169,000 on the clock and runs like new. maintenance goes a long was on this cars. If you up keep them they can last for ever.

But I have seen stuff I bought in 2020 to be almost doubled. Such as that 55A RV power supply that I use as a power supply for the cars, got it for $127 in 12/20, and it's like $225 now. As the draw went from 0.x to 22A, I saw the voltage drop from 13.8v to 13.2v, so it does what it's supposed to... https://a.co/d/fuFYnN8 |

Dr. Dean video tells me it's probably the DISA valve. Part ranges from $100 to $300. Not sure how much the labor will be but I will talk to my friendly Indy BMW specialist. Dr. Dean says the DISA valve will not trigger codes, could cause low RPM hesitation and that is what I am experiencing.
OK, here's an update on the above. Bought a DISA valve (VIACO) - $120. Took the car in yesterday to install the new one. Turns out my intake manifold does not have a DISA valve!! Indy didn't charge me anything fortunately. Says I have a "rare" N52K rather than an N52N. VIN decoder confirms. Anyone know the production variation? REALOEM says I have an N52N but has some parts in the intake manifold ghosted out (including the DISA valve) and are not listed in the parts list below the picture. I don't know what the difference is between the K and the N and can't really find reference to it anywhere. Well, that's one part I don't have to worry about, so I save money and go to the next item on the list (O2 sensors). Last edited by Desert Mike; 09-07-2022 at 02:03 PM.. Reason: More info |

Wasn't the O2 sensors...
Replaced the pre-cat O2 sensors. Made no difference in the (off-idle) hesitation problem.
Turns out I have a leaky fuel pump. Well now, that could be the problem I suppose. Replaced the plugs (with NGK Iridium) which were all black (old Bosch plugs). Not sure if it was due to the change in plugs from the previous set (NGK's which were grey). Helped a bit, however, it seems like a stutter/hesitation could be (or most likely would be) caused by a malfunctioning fuel pump. Feels like a misfire but no codes. Any ideas? |
