Sideview mirror glass cracked WTB

So I park next to this really nice aplina B7 in alexandria last night before going to the movies and when I get back to my car I notice that my drivers side sideview mirror is cracked..FUUUU!!!!!

There's no other damage so I'm thinking something may have gone wrong with the heating element and it cracked the glass..I doubt anyone actually hit it since there's no marks anywhere else on the car.

Eitherway, I checked getbmwparts.com and it looks like they want $250 for just the glass..which is a little ridiculous in my opinion, the non autodimming glass is just 60 bucks!

Anyone know a good source that won't cost an arm and a let? I'd like to go OEM but there's no way I'm paying that much for just a mirror. Anyone have an extra one they'd want to let go of? :P

Search parts dismantler sites. I used car-part.com to find parts for my 335xi and have been very happy. Changing the glass is a cinch.

EDIT: just checked, it looks like they only sell the mirrors as an assembly, you might want to email some of the dismantlers on that site to see if they have any of just the glass pieces.

I went euro spec with the blind spot zone. Check ebay there's this European seller, I got it for 176shipped. Full heat tilt yada yada, check your connector plug first. 4 prongs means the clear one, 2 prong means the tinted blue one. The difference is of course auto dimming capabilities.

Awesome thanks for the replies, I've used car-parts.com before for previous cars I had..I think I still have some contacts at the junk yards in upper malboro, I'll check with them first.

No problem. I want to convert everyone to Euro-spec mirrors....takes some getting used to but oh SO worth it.
