Driver's side floor mats = teh suck

I wonder if anyone else has this problem. My driver side floor mat keeps moving even when I try to make the velcro like patches stick to the floor. Every time I shift, the sole of my foot keeps moving it around a little and eventually it moves forward enough to make the clutch stick to it a little, causing that little pop effect. I have the OEM carpet mats and because I couldn't think of an easy remedy, I just removed my driver's side mat for the time being. Anyone have an ideas? I was thinking of getting those all season rubber ones from Tischer so I don't have to deal w/ this. My dealer gave me an extra set of the carpet mats that sit in my trunk. I've tried w/ both drivers side mats and they both do the same thing.

my oem all season rubber ones do the same exact thing... it pisses me off! I ended up pulling them as far toward the seat as i could and then anchoring them into the floor carpeting that way. Every once in a while i still have to "adjust" it slightly so it doesn't go forward

Yea it's retarded. You'd think that along with the little circle of velcro-y crap they'd have clips or something where you could slide and lock it, but no. Interesting that Ze germans missed out on that one.

Wait you have the all season rubber ones and they do it too? Damnit lol, now I don't know what to do about this.

The velcro doesnt stick to the floor, it sticks to discs that are supposed to be screwed into the floor. If you dont have those discs, the matts will slide. Mine werent installed and I went back to the dealer to get them. Makes a world of a difference.

I tried, but somehow the mat always moves up on its own. I'll move it when i'm stopped at a light, then 10 minutes later, I'll have to move it again. Too late now getting auto/paddles lol. I was considering it, but manual is just more fun. Except for traffic, then it fails...horribly... and with this CDV

Hmm I will have to look into this on thursday when I go back home to get it. If it's as simple a solution as that, I'm going to feel retarded.

my stock carpeted mats have the velcro disc and they hold fine... it's the all weather rubber mats that have those dumb anchors with the hooks that move on me

mine are velcroed..but the velcro is becoming unstuck from the bottom of the mat...it bunches up and doesnt grip, hence the mat sliding.

I have the velcro discs that anchor it down and it still happens to me daily, I was just going to try a big patch of velcro, if that doesn't work, I might just end up cutting a patch out where the clutch is.

Haha, it could be worse. The 03/04 Cobras have a recall because if you push the gas pedal all the way down it can stick sometimes. How'd you like to be driving and get the throttle stuck at WOT. Pretty scary. I'm really surprised the BMWs don't have clips though. I thought just about all cars had clips these days.
