hello, i update 2008year CIC via Most and script activate navi on car with $602=>$601+$609.
But now navy ok and need to update older maps, reader - not readed, CIC have no fsc?
i need to import fsc only or other solution to take .fsc to generate map code?

Retrofit of a CIC involves a few steps. From what you've described, it appears you have added the CIC to the vehicle by modifying the vehicle order. This allows the vehicle to recognize the CIC.

To get Nav working, you need to activate the map region, then map itself on the CIC.

Intel123 has created an excellent free tool to activate all features on the CIC, including lifetime maps.

Google "intel123 patcher" - It will link you to car technology uk. You do need to be at the latest firmware (c16)

i have cic activated, i know you about... problem with update maps only.
cic have no fsc, or sert etc- full cleared head unit.

cic firmware can update via MOST interface ICOM (A+B) only, use winkfp software.

Download the linux version of the generator (either GUI or Console)

You may need to make the file executable before it will run "chmod +x BMW_CIC_FSC_Generator"
If you run it in the console, it will let you see any error why it doesn't run "/path/to/generator/BMW_CIC_FSC_Generator"

It will either run, or give you an error about missing libraries. If any are missing, post the error here (likely a libQt library)

Alternatively, try

I downloaded the latest version of the generator (1.9) but when I start it I have a message for " DOWNLOAD FAILED" - "network access is disabled" - "check network connection".
and looks like the lookup file can't be downloaded.

First, thank you to everyone for all the work and information provided in this thread.

I have a 2015 F31 N20. It is my understanding that if the key from the nearest build date doesn't work (which unfortunately, it doesn't), that I will need to obtain the DE file from my car. The only method I have been able to find is by using E-SYS. A good write-up for it found here: https://www.car-auto-repair.com/how-...-cic-fsc-code/

What I am wondering is this, is there a way to retrieve the DE file any other way that doesn't require the purchase of the E-NET cable and using E-SYS? If not, I'll purchase the cable and have a go with E-SYS.

Another great tool and contribution by Jagaer. Although I didn't need an FSC Code as I have a lifetime premium that I purchased from eBay, I was curious to try this out.

I actually pulled my 1b file (data03) from Jagaer's SSD Upgrade DIY from QNX and then opened it in iHex on my iMac.

After some trial and error, I was able to get the file down to the required 319 bytes and saved the file as a dot hex file.

From there I opened it in your FSC generator and lo and behold, it worked perfect, it generated the same exact FSC Code that I purchased from eBay.

I was a bit more curious and then changed the VIN within the Hex file with a dummy vin and tried it again and it generated a different FSC.

Saying all this to say, this is a great contribution by OP and since I'm always looking to learn, I thank you.

Couple of questions, if I continue to change the VIN in the hex file and generate an FSC, will it be valid without changing anything else but the VIN?

Is there a way to generate a 9C FSC Code? Maybe from another data file within HBdebug?

Most of the "Unlock Codes" within the BMW are RSA keys based off a private key which BMW controls.

If you want to enable all features, you can patch your CIC with intel123's patcher. It replaces the root certificate with its own, which allows you to use his tool (or FSTool) to generate certificates and FSC (signatures) for all of the features.

The reason you can't do this normally, is that BMW holds the RSA private key for your vehicle. By generating your own private/public key pair, and replacing the root cert in the vehicle, you can use your own private key to activate the rest of the features.

I've been looking into intel123's work and have everything that I need, well, except the Combox and Harness..lol.. But I'll pick one up on eBay.

A question about the MFG Date within the file, and as you've mention, most are off by one day or so, as mine is, what does the remaining digits after the MFG Date on the file signify?

I know you asked for 1b files. Here's mine if you need more for research.
