gas tank is not filling up after fuel pump replacement

Recently dealer replaced my fuel pump. After the replacement, gas tank is not filling up completely, it just keep stopping, then it is overflowing. and i tried few different gas stations. my car did not have this problem before. I contacted the dealer, but dealer is refusing, and saying replacing the fuel should not cause this issue. Is it really true, fuel pump replacement would not cause this issue?
