Look for the vac lines on the right side of the rocker cover. Follow them and you will find the solenoid. It is at a weird angle with minimal space. I suggest a magnetised socket or put some butyl inside your socket so it holds the nuts because if you drop it..... you're going to have a great day!

Be careful disconnecting the vacuum hoses also. The nipples can break like biscuits

Would just like to thank Wedge for posting this. I never even thought of getting these replaced. I ordered the complete kit through ECS tuning to replace both and the lines. I'm about to hit 92K.

I'll post up my results once I install them. I'm running Rob Beck upgraded twins, first gens. I've had some wastegate issues and stumbles up top, and I'm sure these could be the culprit.

I thought I was having a similar issue, so I went ahead and replaced my boost solenoid, vacuum lines, and did a boost leak test. I found and addressed a few small leaks.

Before I was struggling to hit boost targets, wgdc was really high, and I had several timing corrections. After all the repairs, it seems not much has changed. Would appreciate some help!

Thanks! Maybe I am ocd but t I am still not hitting my boost targets and still have -3° of timing corrections.

Do you think I am good to step back up to Stage 2+? (I dropped it down when I noticed it struggling)

Are the timing corrections because I have traction control on?
