I just took my car out again for some further testing. If I'm not going WOT, boost builds till about 4-5psi under partial throttle. As soon as I go WOT, boost is limited to 1-2psi.
When not going WOT, no codes are thrown. Only at WOT are codes thrown. Same codes as listed in original post. My charge pipe gets in today. Maybe that'll fix it. If not I'll have to do stealership |

Excellent news. What Andrew here is saying is limp mode problems are fixed. If your in a race and hit limp mode, just remove the charge pipe, run as N/A and finish the race. =]

Update: removed JB4 module, all problems went away. Jb4 was installed when the beta came out and worked amazingly through a number of track days. I don't understand how it would miraculously cause issues.

Last SW update was in July, 2011. This happened recently with the JB Stage 2 Tune. Charge Pipe Never popped off. |

Issue Resolved:
I checked my JB4 stage 2 install. One of the can wires, the brown one, was partially recessed in the connector. It was sticking out only ~25% of the way that it should have been. After I put it back into place and electric taped the wires so that they wouldn't move, I re installed the JB4 Stage 2 and voila, everything worked perfectly. Even my performance steering wheel, which was giving me issues with RPM lights randomly disappearing, just happened to work fine now. Lesson learned. Take your time, check everything twice. Especially when installing a tune. |

I had my JB4 installed professionally and the connections were soldered in, so I'm not sure if the wiring will be the cause. Crossing my fingers that it will be though, mechanical failure would be a nightmare. Fairly certain it's not my ER CP, I'll have an update this Tuesday

friendly reminder: if you have fold-down seats, fold them down before disconnecting the battery. if you don't.. throw a rag or something over the striker so nobody can accidentally close your trunk on you. if you have a keyhole, great, but if your car is like mine and doesn't... less great it's a little safer to do the ritual of putting the ecu to sleep by simply leaving it alone for 10 minutes.

Today my car hit 12.5 psi (Map 1) twice on the freeway in 6th gear under 3/4 throttle. Otherwise it would only hit 5-7 psi in any given gear, triggered limp mode once but it went away after about 30 seconds.
Interesting, I'll have to contact Terry then.

Are you guys maybe using the JB4 on map 0 after doing the ISO update? Cuz on map 0 I got the half engine light due to under boost. But according to terry your supposed to run map 4.

Haven't updated my JB4 since purchase (last May ish), I experience the boost issue in Map 1 and Map 7, can't tell if the car is boosting properly in Map 0 because it gets rid of the boost gauge overlay. Also hard to tell the difference between 5-7 psi and 8 psi via butt dyno

Long story short: Had the JB4 removed, car drives perfectly fine, no limp modes and seems to be boosting properly (at stock levels). I'll be putting it back in after I finish my last quarter of college and doing some data logging for Terry to determine what/if something went wrong with the unit.
Car hooks perfectly in 1st gear now (I'm running brand new Michelin Pilot SuperSports) thanks to the reduced power, but doesn't sound quite as good. I definitely notice the reduced midrange torque, and quieter BOV noise. Already missing the JB4 =/
