hazard lights? racing?

I was driving down the 91 freeway around 1am and a group of ricers we driving normal and then got next to me and put their hazard lights on then "tried to take off."
Kind of curious if this is a normal sign they wanted to race me?
And if it was it seems like a stupid idea due to attracting attention...

when one wins a race, they usually put their hazards on after. haven't seen anyone do it when they take off.

I once played a PS2 game where you can race someone by flashing your hazard. Forgot the name of it, but it was based in Japan.

no turbos.
and said to themselves my vtec civic can take u on.
prob. flashed their hazards because u didn't hear them rev'n at u.

well I get off work at 1130pm in marina del ray and I went to stay at a friends in redondo beach. then we found a party in fullerton so we drove there around 1ish and things just happened from there.
always end up doing crap that has to do with driving toooo many miles.
good thing I love driving my car.

isnt that like midnight club? but its the high beams. How do you flash your hazards? you can turn them on but not really "flash" them lol
