Car is gone - take my parts

I have some new in box stuff like the single mass flywheel and clutch (it uses the 330i/328ixi bigger clutch) and underbody panel - SS brakelines. I also have a Schroth Quick fit Pro (but I might hang on it...for nostalgic purposes)

Check it out.

Yeah, it sucks for sure. It always sucks more when you're *not at fault* but it is what it is.

Because I don't really have the time (or stock parts) to replace some of these items, they are free to whoever wanted to do the labor on their own.

The wheels will probably be given to my best friend, and the rest is....

I had an '18 Mustang GT rental car in May with the ten-speed...it was a hell of a car. Little loose for me (it didn't have the suspension package) but I beat every taker, like a dog :P

You are in lawless Florida. 360 whp and with hybrid turbo 400+. If you get X5, you get x drive and no issues putting all that TQ down.

I got N57 f15 and that thing is a blast even stock.

Taskmaster
Oh and don't forget to flash your car back to stock from BPC tune so you can use your remote flasher again with the new tune.

Can that be done?
Unfortunately, the flash tool no longer has the stock flash file one it.

I'm honestly thinking something small, cheap and fuel efficient, but I might just end up with something a bit more bad ass.

I can't picture you driving a Prius. Tesla maybe, but exhaust mods won't be much fun.

Oh man really bummed to read this. It’s something I have thought about a few times, I tend to do a lot of mods to my cars and then some nitwit can make a mistake in front of/behind me and...

I hope you can make lemonade out of these lemons! I honestly don’t know what I would go to if my car was totaled. E46 and E92 are definitely enticing but the maintenance and rod bearing issues are annoying at best and fatal flaws at worst. I like the M2 a lot and have driven them at the track but it’s honestly a horrible value.

I’d probably just find another manual n52 car or if I decided to go to another platform I test drove a camaro ss1le a few months ago that was pretty decent.

Nothing exotic like an M car - I drive about 90mi a day for work, and I'm looking for ways to car pool with my friends at this point to cut down on the fatigue and wear and tear. On something like a E92 - the costs of tires and gas alone would dwarf the N52 in ownership, before considering insurance and maintenance.

As for a Prius...maybe not. An Accord Sport, Corolla, Camry or 335i...maybe.

With a 80 mile commute forget about the 335, tire gas and maintenance will kill you. My E89 is not a cheep car to run.

My commute is about the same, N52 with the E85 was hard to beat, square wheels, good mileage and fun to drive.

I'm not a fan of Tesla. - the car is sound and in good shape. The hood, bumper (and not really) and windshield are damaged. The interior may also be wet due to the tow yard not covering the windshield after it rained

The rest of the car - including airbags - is intact. Including all the Msport trim, and blah blah blah.

Within reason you can be at 400whp/650tq and get 40+ mpg or ~500 miles a tank. So compared to your N52 you will be making more hp/tq above above 2k all the way to redline. Talk about a stump puller!

Even just deletes should be good for like 350/550

Alot better than an n54 it seems. But it is a BMW at the end of the day

The diesel guys are pretty friendly on this forum if you want to post/ask. It's a small group given the limited cars that came with the m57 engine.

I can't do deletes in MA and get a sticker which pisses me off. I feel my x5 #2 may turn into a truck. Wife still loves hers with just the jb4 diesel piggyback which is what I run as well. Cheap money for the gains: https://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5571

The X5 is heavy, in the sedan I'm sure it is much more fun to mess around in.

It's a diesel, they will run forever until pushed too hard or your wife feeds it gasoline.

You should "ping" the diesel groups and see what they say. It's a pretty loyal group.
