Are LCI water pumps more reliable? Anyone with high mileage LCI please chime in!

I bought my '07 328i brand new from the dealer. 6/07 build date, I think 135k miles and still on first water pump and never any shadow codes.

Wow good to hear! Seems like N52 water pumps don't fail as often as N54 or N55.

I am having electrical fault in the water pump. I have replaced the water pump previously but did not use OEM. Could this be my issue?

How would we know? Post the error codes. Otherwise we are just going to give you useless guesses.
