Well that didn't last long !!!!
Wheel liner got caught up in the drivers wheel, when turning full lock into my driveway. Pulled the liner free of the securing screws, damaging the front bar This is why I can't have nice things |

Sockets, I noticed you have slotted discs, are they a genuine item or DBA etc from Aus. Sorry if its in the build, I don't have time to read the whole thing.

ECS tuning is where I purchased my drilled and slotted rotors when I was running stock brakes mate. Have not dealt with ECS for a while now but they have a decent range

Sorry to see the damage on the new parts caused by the inner guard Socks. What is causing the inner guard to get ripped out? Are the new wheels fouling the inner guard when you turn on full lock? After just getting SPCGRY back looking great again and for this to happen, I would imagine you would be totally peeved. I certainly would be.

Wheel liners are pretty torn up from being on and off 1000 times The front liner on the drivers side was flapping around a bit and rubbing on the wheel. I could hear it rubbing and was going to trim it, but didn't When on full lock to the left, the lining got caught between the edge of the tire and the frame, ripping it away from the mounting points. In the case of the mounting point on the fender, it pulled it inwards, causing the hole in the pics Might be able to patch it or at worst replace the whole front bar (sigh) |

Aircon stopped working and started blowing hot air a couple of weeks back
With 40C+ temps in Melb not a good time to be without air con I thought we might have cracked one of the air con lines when reinstalling the engine, so off to Kar Air in Ferntree Gully to have it checked out Turns out there is plenty of gas, so is not a leak or a problem with the compressor We chucked on the MHD to read and clear any codes but nothing to indicate a problem, so they pulled out their professional code reader and it pointed to an electrical fault with the refrigerant pressure sensor. RealOEM came in handy identifying the part and where it was located in the engine bay (+1 to RealOEM) Given we had to re-route the wiring to the sensor when we installed the ST, odds are it was a wire that had rubbed on something or maybe the sensor had been cooked by the heat from the dump pipe. I declined their offer to pull the turbo out etc and said I'd have a go at it myself. Total cost for the diagnosis $80 Pics of Gary getting checked out by Kar Air Last edited by Socket; 01-31-2019 at 02:07 AM.. |

Got it home and whipped off the front wheel and wheel lining Luckily the sensor can be reached from the wheel well.... here is the offending part |

Checked the plug and connections on the sensor, all good
Then traced the wiring back from the sensor and into the engine bay. No damaged wires What I did find however, up near the brake fluid reservoir, was a blue plastic plug that was not connected Plugged it back into its partner and presto, air con working again and blowing out cold frosty air Cheapest fix ever haaha |
