For sale is a JB4 N55, Harness A, Flex Fuel wires, G5 ISO and Burger USB cable for computer hookup.

I purchased this brand new from Burger and took it off my 2011 N55 335i in mid-december. I decided to move to a software flash and have no need for it anymore. No bent or missing pins/tabs. Majority of the time I left it in MAP 5 and would occasionally throw 3-4 gallons of E85 in (car loved it). JB4 works great and I had zero issues with it.

Firmware ISO_5_17_T5.hex is currently loaded on it (most recent).

Can you give me the quick version of what flex fuel wires do for me? Also, can the bluetooth stuff we retrofitted? i am interested...

Hey, I never bothered with the bluetooth stuff but did some digging on burgers website/forum. Appears to able to be added to any JB4. Looks like one plug into the location the JB4 where you would plug in the data cable, and a second wire tap for power.

Regarding the flex fuel wires... This was an add on for the Type A harness but were included from BMS on the Type B harness. Essentially it allows the JB4 to alter fuel pressure for different ethanol/fuel mixtures (i.e. prevent lean AFR). In the picture they are the black plugs at 6 o'clock, and hook up just like the others. The location of the plug is behind the engine cover, near cylinder 6.

For me, I'd set Map 5 (auto tuning map) and put in 3-4 gallons of E85 with the rest 93 octane. Drive the car easy for 20-30 miles to fully mix. Then do 3 pulls in 3rd gear from 2k-redline. The JB4 will auto tune boost and fuel pressure based upon the mods and octane you have. It constantly adjusts to prevent damage. 3-4 gallons of E85 added quite a bit of torque!

thanks for all the info, this is great. As for firmware updates, aren't these only made available to the initial purchaser? Just trying to figure out what to do if i buy it used.
