I also live in Regina, so I know what you mean about snow. What a winter! I picked up a 335 xDrive in October of last year - previous to that I had a RWD 325i e46. I was actually looking for a RWD 335i but they are rare around here (for good reason). The xDrive is pretty awesome. I never once had any issue going to work on unplowed roads, or getting even close to stuck in the parking lot at work and I was always the first one there in the morning. You won't regret the 335 at all.
The M3 is an amazing track car, but do you really want that for your daily driver? Like you said - the roads are long, flat, and straight. My 335i gets like 7.5-8.0 l/100km on the highway. I'd love an M3 but I'd want a track to run it on, otherwise I think a lot of it's wasted. My 325i RWD was pretty good in the snow with a set of X-Ice tires, and the 335i xDrive is obviously better off the line and such. You will need winter tires though regardless. |

The 335 I will be buying comes with a BMW winter wheel-tire package so that's covered! My E90 325 is a great car in the winter considering what it is, I have 4 altimax arctic snow tires installed and its not a bad winter setup, I've been through 3 winters with this car and I know all the tricks now.

Doing a little research and found this car, no x drive but very nice! I can get a better deal than listed price, they are ready sell. Great reviews for new 3series....... im really considering this. Executive, premium and sport packages plus CPO until 2018!! And i love the white-red combo.

electric steering, cheap interior plastic, horrendous front design, bloated, drives like 5 series, unrefined noisy 4 cyl @ ridiculous price, etc., my opinon only of course. I hope Lexus and Infinity up their game and get BMW back on track. loaded F30 335i is how much??? Cayman here I come!

I actually prefer the new F30 exterior design compared to the E90. But looks are subjective. The price is not ridiculous at all. It is just inflation. 2007 335i cost 39000 MSRP. 2013 335 cost 43000. Check this out: What cost $39000 in 2007 would cost $43038.40 in 2012. http://www.westegg.com/inflation/infl.cgi |

I pulled the trigger and commited to purchase the 335 xdrive as soon as his 2014 5 series arrives, which in sometime in late May.. Another bonus is the maintenence agreement he purchased over the 4-80k that the car comes with, not really sure what it covers or if i will benifit from having it in any way.

Thanks for everyone's opinions, it's easy for those of you living in southern states to say "get the M3" because some of you have probably never seen snow, and you have I'm willing to bet its nothing like we usually have here. I will have an M3, it's just been delayed a few years until my son grows and I can afford to get one as a second car- summer car. Until then the 335 will serve me just fine, with a tune and some tastefull cosmetic mods plus the x drive for our nasty winters it will be fun car and be plenty quick enough when I need it to be.
