Did I brick my CID?
I recently wrapped up the installation portion of my iDrive retrofit. I have an 07 335i that did not have an iDrive and I am going to a CIC without an emulator. I used NCSExpert to change my VO. I changed the build date from 1206 to 0909. I added S609, S620, S6UH, and S6VA and I removed S663. After I updated the CAS and NFRM I updated the CIC. After the CIC rebooted the CID screen stayed blank. I can see the blacklighting on but nothing displays. The radio still works just no display. When I look at the VIN on each module instead of a VIN the CID just shows YYYYYYY.
I plan to use WinKFP to change the vin on the CIC and CID but the program wont even start. I downloaded BMW Tools from Bimmergeeks website. Any thoughts on getting it working or where I can get a working version of WinKFP? Thanks, Will |

I ended up getting a emulator and putting that in. I am still having issues with the display. It powers up, I can see the backlighting come one, but nothing is displayed.
How do I check the CIC return state? I believe the CID got corrupted so I am wondering if there is a way to recover it. Below is what I get when I execute the aif_lesen job on Tool32 AIF_FG_NR =YYYYYYY AIF_FG_NF_LANG =YYYYYYY AIF_DATUM = 22.08.2008 AIF_ZB_NR = 9193745 AIF_SW_NR = AIF_BEHOERDEN_NR = AIF_SERIEN_NR = AIF_KM = 0 AIF_PROG_NR = Any way to recover the missing information? |
