Replace Turbo oil lines?

What's the general consensus on replacing the turbo oil feed and drain lines when replacing turbos? Is a good clean with brake parts cleaner sufficient? Anyone regret or run into issues from not replacing them?

I'm at 150k miles, original parts, replacing with oem mitsu's.

90-95% of the DIY's I've ever seen regarding replacing turbos do not have you replace the lines. You just clean them out with brake cleaner and put new o-rings in.

Usually people never replace the lines but the labor to reach them is not fun to do or cheap so if one of them ever leaks you will wish thay you did swap them.

I'd first examine them fully, look for cracks, leaks, flakes ect... then I'd it all looks good replace the o-rings and gaskets and reinstall. When replacing turbos it's best to cluster your repairs, maintenance, and upgrades all at once. Grab inlets and outlets while your there and down pipes if you dont have any.

If your someone who likes to change things proactively and you want your turbos and turbo lines to last another 50k to 100k miles (if you plan to keep the car that long) then I'd suggest buying new ones online and swapping them out.

Again if you are a proactive person and your at 150k miles I would also with change your oil pan gasket, water pump hoses (known to age and leak), water pump (if it has more than 50k miles on it as these usually go outaround 70-80k miles) t-stat, injector coils (for better spark if your coils are originals, old, or you just dont know) and spark plugs (if there old or originals or you just dont know) all at the same time.

The OEM oil & coolant lines for the turbos are pretty stout. In fact, I have never seen anyone replace them with aftermarket versions, that advertise them as better than OEM. This is one part that BMW got right.

Make sure you use some compressed air, at about 90psi, through them once you run some break cleaner through them.

When replacing the o-rings, make sure you use some oil to lubricate them prior to installing the o-ring in place and then installing the line.

It's not a part I'd consider replacing & I'm at 164,000. Now, if I had a leak from one those lines, maybe. In 164,000 miles, I have never replaced the turbos and never had a leak from an oil line or coolant line. Yes, I know my day is coming regarding turbos. I had a scare last month, but I found my leak and subsequently cured my 30ff code.
