What if you fit a BT webcam on the back shelf and feed it to a laptop strapped in the boot?

What's the reasoning, anyway, for not permitting video cameras?

They used to be fine about cameras, then numpties posted vids of accidents on the web and the place got unwanted attention. Now they only allow cameras on private hire and race days.

Loads of people still use them, just don't publish the vids on YouTube etc.

There are some really tiny HD bullet cams you can mount behind a grill, either using a solid state recorder (bikers use these) or use a camcorder Composite input.

I've seen plenty of people stopped trying to go on with a camcorder on show.

Thats exactly what was happening, couple of lads in a mk2 golf were spotted with a camcorder in car and werent allowed through the barriers. Dont know if they had already had a warning or whether they were clamping down but they were definately turned away

LOL!! Yes thank you matey and thanks for asking. Got back yesterday, really nice place, prefer Dubai but as they dont rely on tourism the Kuwaitis seem far friendlier, less hectic, more relaxed etc. Had some great meals and got a nice all over tan!!! Found the ladies in their full head to toe dress with just their beady little eyes showing a bit spooky - looked like killer ninjas!!

Anyone planning on staying close to Folkestone on the night of the 14th to avoid a long drive and early start?

I'm staying in Folkestone. I don't relish getting up at 2 am and driving five hours on a weekday around London -- not that I relish doing it on a weekend, either.
