your handling will probably go down since the tires will fit like marshmallows on stock rims. If you want better handling, upgrade your suspension.

You will likely get better answers in the wheel/tire forum.
I would not try to run those sizes on the stock sport wheels. What tires do you currently run? 225/40 and 255/35 OEM runflat? |

what do you currently have right now for suspension parts? you need more camber and what not...those tires are gonna look retarded on those rims.

The Nitto 285/35 NT555R drag radials will fit on the stock rims 8.5", but barely. And they bulge a ton. Nittos run narrow though, so I'm not sure about another tire. Plus drag radials are softer so can bulge more in the sidewall.
Your bigger problem with running 285 in the back is the clearance with the fender. My rims are 9.5" in the back with a +45 offset. They almost rub on the inside and have a tiny bit of space on the outside (car is lowered some on coil overs, fenders aren't rolled). They probably would've fit on a +42 offset, but not much less than that.

My opinion is don't put them on the stock rims, unless you are doing only for drag racing where bulge doesn't matter as much. The car will be very unpredictable in turns. There are plenty of rim options out there for cheap. You can pick up a set of VMRs for under a grand, new, and they look great!
