How often do you clean your car?

So, how often do you clean your car?

Do you have a weekly/monthly thing going on? Do you give the car a 'standard' rinse with a sponge or spend a few hours each time?

I must admit that recently I've been very lazy. However, I've just moved to a new flat and I now have space out of the back where I can clean the car and spend some time tinkering around.

Every friday after work unless its raining otherwise at some point during the weekend.
I've got it down to about 20mins for a quick wash and dry.
I'd rather do it before i sit down for the weekend otherwise its harder to have the motivation to do it.

When I had my Monaco Blue 335 Coupe I was cleaning it once a week in winter and in the summer every two days... Pissed me off how dust would settle on it even without going out anywhere within a couple of hours of cleaning it. ( Dark cars are a bastid)

The M3 being silver is not so bad.. Every week is enough.

Roads round here are really muddy from farm vehicles, so its gets a spray down 1-2 times per week, gets a wash once or three times a month and waxed about 3 times per year.
I dont like washing cars so I've got the spray, shampoo, wash, rinse & dry thing down to about 30 mins.
I go to town on them when I flog them though.

Every Saturday; drop the car at the local wash and have a coffee whilst someone else sweats over it.

Used to do it every fortnight, got a baby now though and the missus frowns upon me taking 2 hours out to wash the cars haha, more like once a month now.

Nowhere near as often as I'd like to - it needs doing at least once a week with the miles I do, sometimes twice. Since moving in with the OH though, there's no drivewy to wash it on any more so it's more like once a month because it's such a royal PITA washing it on the side of the road.

Every Friday without fail ........ full wash, dry with quik detail spray.

How can anyone wash and dry in 20 mins, I just about would have the wheels washed in that time. Full wash and dry takes me 90 mins but I am meticulous about drips of water etc and spend quite a while blowing out gaps with an air gun ..... think I'm a bit mad !!

3 months for the exterior, but clean the inside (the bit that matters, you know the bit you sit in) every couple or three weekends maybe.

Clean the house once a week sure, but the car has to wait

+1 it takes half an hour to get all the crap out of the garage - hoses, jet wash, extension lead, bucket, cloths, cleaning products blah blah, let alone getting hot water and actually cleaning anything! (or putting it all away afterwards, and washing all the cloths)

Then having kids running round your legs wanting to 'help' clean the car with a garden rake or wire brush, then them getting soaked and crying and having to change them, then the missus having a go and then having to stop and make tea, then it going dark or raining and your fingers going blue....... christ - 3 months is often enough.....

No kiddies yet but a dog and a tortoise and own my own home....

Still always have an immaculate car. Can't stand driving around in a dirty motor.

Sorry carlos, edited that one, but you'd best get a generous missus if you want car washing to stay in the top 100 chores-list if kiddies come along

No good judging that now, cos there's pre-baby GF and post baby GF, may as well be different people from different galaxies!

I too always had a clean car, until 27th September 2008, then it all ended...
