must get rid of staggered setup

My '09 e92 came with the Cross Spoke 197 rims:
Fronts: 8JX18 ET:34
Rears: 81/2JX 18 ET:37

Tires are Michelin Pilot SuperSports:
Fronts: 225/40-18
Rears: 255/35-18

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Question: If I want to increase the aspect ratio of all four tires to 225/45, what size rim will work on all four corners?

Objective: Same tire size on all four wheels.

Depending upon the tire, a 225/45 R18 would probably fit on both front and rear wheels - check tirerack and click on the "specifications" tab.

You do know that 225/45R18 is a bit taller than the OEM sizes. However, I have my winter set that is that size on right now and they're fine - makes the speedo almost dead-on accurate.

thanks!

First, Floydarogers, thanks for your reply.

What rims and tires are you using for your winter set? Specs including offset?

My car came with Option 704 - M Sport Suspension but I'm hoping this option isn't a factor when going from staggered to non-staggered.

Yes, I'm glad you mention that the 225/45R18 setup is taller. This is in fact a desired outcome because my driveway has a bump that (gently) scrapes my muffler's pipes. The taller setup I'm hoping will solve the scraping problem.

I realize my request goes against the grain of low-profile tires and staggered-width wheels (different folks/different strokes).

Not terribly sure about the offset; something like stock but I think a bit more. They're Enkei 8.5x18, with Blizzak LM-26. A little stretched but fine.

again thanks

floydarogers,

so please confirm the following:
1. you have an e92
2. you use 8.5x18 rims on all corners
3. you use 225/45R18 tires on those rims
4. under normal use (winter driving, i think you said), you don't (or haven't yet) experienced any fender-rubbing or any other mechanical/structural defects to the car while using those rims and wheels

thanks!

I have an E90; all the rest is correct. Grubby because it's my winter set.
