+, corless is crap. People dont get false signals because the detector misses a lot of signals.

Exactly. The reason they can make cordless detectors at all is by having them powered off 99% of the time. Every 5 or 10 seconds it'll power up the low-powered antenna for an instant to see if it hears anything. That's a lot of delay, and can miss a lot of signals.
