20s for looks and deep pockets

19s for performance and less likely hood of wheel damage

18s no problems at all

Hopefully you are looking into some aftermarket suspension to complement the new wheels, since you are on AWD height. That would look kinda funny with bigger wheels lol.

I am also looking for new wheels. I have the RWD though so I am going staggered.

I think that 19's look the best and will have a better quality of drive than 20's. 18's will have the best ride but depending on the wheel, they look a little small.

With either sizing you decide to choose, we recommend the following:

8.5 +35 front with a 235 tire
9.5 +33 rear with a 265 tire

This will be flush on all 4 corners without the need of any aftermarket hardware or modifications to the vehicle at stock/sport height. Feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.

It honestly really comes down to what you're looking to do with the car. An 18" setup is going to be better in terms of performance as the wheels are lighter. However, the 19" setups do look best on the E9X body chassis in my opinion. You'll be safe with the following on your 07 335XI.

18x8.5 ET30-35
18x9.5 ET30/35

19x8.5 ET30-35
19x9.5 ET30-35

I couldn't have said this better myself. What type of setups have you been looking at for wheels?

The 335xi came straight from the factory with a staggered setup. You will not have any issues fitting a staggered setup on the car, however, you do have to keep the rolling diameter of the tires within a 1% difference.

Do you have an E90 or E92? For an E90, you'll want to run a 9.5 +45 rear since the vehicle has a widened track.

With this setup, you can run a 235 front and a 265 rear without an issue. We have a handful of sets for our XDrive customers and they have been extremely happy.
