2017/2018 Hockey thread

Anyone think Boston is hitting the golf course after today? I initially had this pegged for a 5 game series, so I’m hoping so.

Sharks are out--nothing new--another year, another playoff, another no cup. But have to say Vegas deserves everything they have done as they have been solid all year and playoffs. Those guys, not protected from their former teams, want it more than anybody, no doubt.

In a way it would be cool if this team won it all and the history it would be.

Sorry abiut your sharkies. On vegas, it would be cool...and they are everyone's favorite 2nd team.

Why would it be bad for the NHL? Because they wanted to have a competitive team but not necessarily a championship team for the first year?

But, it's not like it was a dream team put together full of stars--they are really just a bunch of proven NHLer's that play perfect as a team. The only proven guy they have is Fleury.

Ah I wanted the sharks at least to take it to 7. The knights are going to have a hard time with the jets but if Nashville moves on knights are going to the final I think.

As for the east. I think the caps are the worse of the two teams, but if they take out the pens they are going to feel unstoppable. Hard choice as a bolts fan but... I wanna see the caps win just to see kuch fake out holtby again.

Yup, Bruins are out. Go Bolts, my #2 fav team. Bruins are #1.

Rib eyes and tequila distracted me from even knowing the sharks were playing last night. I got to pay more attention to the time/which time zone they are talking about when the ads are on TV. ESPN didn't alert me until the final score.

I think it would be great for the NHL AND sports in general to show that a bunch of average Joes, if they work their asses off, can be the top team.

Yeah, that's the thing about Vegas--they were written off at the beginning as a bottom team. But those guys felt like they had something to prove and were an underdog. And they played all season like that.

And they are still playing in the playoffs like an underdog.

We'll see what happens with the Caps but they have a good chance to that penguin off their backs!

In the Tampa Bay area that’s all you see....GO BOLTS!
