It does not obstruct the 3rd brake light at all.

no way

you have to get both

it looks like its missing something if you have only a roof spoiler

I don't want to spend so much money on getting both spoilers...I've been thinking about the roof spoiler only, but some of you are saying it wouldn't look right. So I dunno.

Me too. I have both and it makes it complete. The ACS roof spoiler is not overbearing...it works well with the OEM deck spoiler.

Sorry for asking a stupid question, but what does the roof spoiler do? Does it add downforce like the trunk spoiler, or does it help keep the rear window clean during inclement weather?

ACS roof spoiler is a very subtle mod, not overly aggressive. A good addition to the rear spoiler.

It seems overwhelmingly in favor of having both. (I have the OEM stock rear spoiler). Doesn't mean I'll do it...but I'm going to keep looking at my car (I like watching paint dry too...so what?) and looking at others with it. Will decide then. Thx.

TiAg with roof spoiler only

the first and only exterior mod on my car(so far) is the ACS replica roof spoiler. Here are a couple of pics, I really think it adds to the look of the car. I am still comtemplating the rear OEM spoiler, but I am satisfied for now.

I am a minority in SoCal. Most modded e90's here have both roof and trunk spoilers and I have none at the moment. I often think of how much cleaner the roof would look without the shark fin and I may shave it one of these days.

The more I mod my e90 the less I want it to look "Heavily Modded". Some people on this board just add things to their cars without thinking it through only to say they have it in their mod list. I would rather stop when the look I want has been achieved.

Agreed. I prefer the clean look to the car over the "hey look at my heavily modded car" look. THat being said, I might get the rear lip spoiler. I want it to look sporty but at the same time elegant. I would hate for my car to look riced-out.

IMO, the roof spoiler is designed for cars with trunk spoiler. Just imagine an E90 with a roof spoiler but w/o trunk spoiler, it'll look like something is missing. Personally I think the roof spoiler looks great, it gives the car a more dynamic look.

spoilers make the car harder to clean, especially under the roof spoiler. I'm too lazy for that kinda commitment. haha

This is my take. This is just for the rear of the car.

E90/Roof/Rear/Lip > E90/Roof/Rear > E90/Rear > E90/Roof > E90 with no spoiler.

I REALLLLLY think E90 needs a spoiler. Rear OEM spoiler(or other good looking aftermarket ones) is a must.
E90's trunk line isn't as aggressive/clean as the E46. It needs something to finish it off.

I previously had a doubt about the OEM spoiler, but after few E90POST members helped me out with pictures and I finally put it on, I would never go back.

My conclusion: Get the rear spoiler first and then think about the Roof. Having just the roof spoiler isn't bad either.

Personal taste really. If you are going to use it then yeah buy it. My friend has an STI and he has both, the rear is a WING but it looks good on it. I have also seen a rear roof diffuser on an EVO and IMO it would look sweet on a E90 with a decklid and a shark fin just my opinion.

Looks great. The lines of the boot lid are so fine that one starts to think why should you add anything? Spoiler brings the race-look and is ok if that´s what you want, but it brakes a bit the nice design.
With more aggressive front, nice wheels and lower suspension it´s ok with the rear spoiler, otherwise not.

i think it also depends on your rear apron. if you have something more aggressive like a M-sport rear, i'm sure just the roof spoiler or just the deck spoiler would look great. however, with only the original rear apron, i think both would look better... but i only have the roof spoiler and orig. rear apron.
