Is there any reason why methanol injection + 93 pump gas cannot be used instead of the race gas with these maps ? Did anyone try ?

lack of failsafe? you could try lowering ignition 2 points across and go up again if corrections are fine.

Ok so I let my car sit overnight like RnmEvo9 did, and... WOW...
Yesterday my first run after I reflashed it, I let it idle and run for a bit. Got onto the highway and got on it a bit and instantly threw a 30FF code. Pulled off the road, reset ECU learning and it was good to go. But on the negative side, I rolled up on a curb yesterday making a turn not really paying attention, bent the shit out of my lower control arm and dented the rim pretty good. Time to upgrade to some M3 control arms?? Yes. I'll try to take some logs once I fix'er up, and my AP has been acting funny... Can't wait..!

When I updated my AP to the latest firmware it's been acting wierd ever since, I don't think it's recording logs correctly. Here is the most normal looking one I pulled off of it. The table starts getting messed up towards the end...
Still learning how to read these things.

it would be good to log one cylinder timing so we know what your engine is being asked to run, also tps actual is a good thing to know so we can see if the throttle is being pulled by the dme.
after you take your foot off the pedal from a WOT run, the logs tend to look screwy... I would log both pedal position and tps so you know which part of the log to look at. I am running the latest cobb beta firmware, no problems on my end... |

93oct and Meth over here, car runs pretty dam good. I also had cobb take a look at my logs everything seems to be fine. Car feels like its getting faster with each pull. Will do more logs soon just to check up on it. Also I run a 70/30 mix.

LOL, What S1+ guys can't have a little extra ponies over the OTS MAPs..
On a side note, thanks for clarifying the octane rating of E85. This whole time I have been using the calculator with RON values mixed with AKI values. So essentially by using E85 as 94-96 AKI and ACN 91 Octane (91 AKI) I can calculate apples to apples. What confuses me, if E85 has a RON of 105 but a AKI of 96, as far as octane rating is concerned, wouldn't it just matter which standard you use? Because AKI 91 is roughly 95 RON. Thus as long as you use apples to apples your octane rating is correct whether you use RON or AKI, Does that sound right? Thus, calculating the % of Ethanol doesn't change per this calculator http://www.intercepteft.com/calc.html Ethanol is Ethanol and Octane is Octane depending RON, MON or AKI..

The point that I was trying to make is that there are a bunch of people who compare AKI 93 gasolene with E85 thinking that E85 has AKI of 105 which is totally wrong.
You can use any calculator you want for as long as you are comparing the same units. Meaning, compare RON to RON, AKI to AKI. Never mix up AKI and RON units when blending fuels.

Ok, I have no idea what the AccessPort is doing here... The tables are all out of place... I'm sending my AP in for repairs.

I did check there web site and called the indicated stations but non of them said they had it, then I emailed corporate and the response I got was that there was no interest in this product in Canada.

E-30 map testing
Heres a couple of test runs I did on the E30 map while driving across the arctic sea last night:
Of course this is just a tuning tool so the actual numbers don't mean a whole lot. But I felt a great increase in power.

If you can leave black marks on a straight from the time you exit a corner till the time you brake for the next turn....... Then, you have enough horsepower. |

Heres a video of my car running the E30 map (might want to turn your speakers down, the wind noise is loud...) I took it in 1080P but the youtube video editor ruined my video quality.

Two issues for me, I currently am running DCI/Catless DP/Catless Mids/Berk Axleback. How big of a deal is it if I run the E30 map without an upgraded IC? Assuming I don't do anything crazy like track it or what not. Just some fun highway pulls, or maybe even possibly a spirited canyon run. Is it safe or tolerable to run with my current setup?
Second issue is that I live in CA with the terrible ACN91 gas. Can I mix my ACN91 with E85 to achieve E30? I have a 135i, which holds approximately 14 gallons. |
