Injectors

2008 335xi mhd stage 1 91 octane
Q. Can I run index 12 on cyl 1-3 and index 09 on cyl 4-6.
Current situation:
I just got this car. I checked and saw that there is a mix of index injectors on the car the ones on the vehicle currently are as follows
  • cyl 1 index 09
  • cyl 2 index 12
  • cyl 3 index 02
  • cyl 4 index 12
  • cyl 5 index 02
  • cyl 6 index 09
My current issue is the car shakes on startup and when I accelerate the car is sluggish.

Any fouled plugs?

If you're running the same index in each bank (and they were properly coded) you are okay.

Could be any number of things. Mismatched injectors by themselves aren't the issue, but leaky injectors (those index 9s are pretty awful) definitely could be. Could also be bad coils, leaky vacuum lines, etc.

What does a scan with INPA / ISTA show?

there are only 2 codes
  • lamda 2
  • overboost
I have changed the vacuum lines and boost solenoids.

I’d start with the O2 sensor and go from there, personally.
What codes exactly?

2C7F - lamda control 2
30FE - turbocharger, charge pressure too high
3100 - boost-pressure control, deactivation

I did replace the o2 sensors recently but the code still remains
