Upgraded HPFP

We ALL know that our stock HPFPs are what's holding us back to get better numbers and consistent performance on pump gas.
Similarly to knowledge obtained regarding porting and upgrading OEM turbos
(i.e. bigger wheel on cold side = pure turbo 1 etc)
Do we know what exactly is upgraded, and how is it done to get a high flow HPFP kit similar to what.. TTFS and these other guys currently offer?

Does anyone know? Has anyone tried to take apart stock HPFP and see what needs to be upgraded? I've read some comments about machining HPFP. Machining what exactly? costs? feasibility etc

Just thinking out loud..

Probably machining channels in order to increase the fuel flow or something along these lines. I too am searching for an HPFP upgrade and actually didn't know there was one by TTFS. I will give it a look.

I talked to the guys at Fuel-It for my car and they said to not worry about the HPFP and just go port injection

If this guy says HPFP is fine as it is, we should probably listen hahaha.

In their exact words, "there isn't an actual HPFP upgrade available. Port injection would be your best option." so that's what I'll be doing

Some tables were discovered recently in the DME that will allow for the HPFP to be turned up so to speak. I think the claim was E50 at 23 psi on the PS2 with a LPFP upgrade.

Not sure what his username is on the forums. I saw a few posts of his on Facebook.

This couldn't be more incorrect...

Fuel-it and other businesses that are buddy-buddy with BMS will tell you shit like this to drive more money towards the JB4 platform. Don't fall for it.

The TTFS HPFP has me running E50/PS2 without issue.
There's even an option for it in the latest MHD N55 beta.

I was just saying what they told me. Personally, I'll be turning up the boost and wanted to see how much E85 I can run on just an upgraded LPFP

I would preferably just want to run more pump gas, so I have no potential issues with misfires. PS1 on the way. Sort of maximize pump gas.
Plenty of E85 around, just - don't want to do it all the time. Hassle.

"Some tables were discovered recently in the DME that will allow for the HPFP to be turned up so to speak."

That's definitely good news!

Why would you go PS1? I think it is much more worth it to go PS2!

1. Within budget.
2. 360 WHP on pump to 400 WHP on e30 mix plenty for this platform.

Mid 12 second stick shift, 4 dr, relatively reliable, RWD. Joy to drive.
I'll be aight

I don't doubt the fact that it will be sick hahaha

but I am just frightened that after PS1 I would want more and it would be a shame to go stock, PS1 and then PS2!

I am sure I will!

Dude, we have to be able to put things in perspective.
Not many cars, especially for the price can touch these.
Look good, sound good, are fast, are really nice to drive. Plenty of room inside.
Definitely not looking at re-sale value... bullshit, so enjoy what you got..

As far as Ps2 who knows what will be available next year, the one after?
will see

PS1 won't make more on pump than a stock turbo.
