AFAIR remove the press-in fixings on the vertical face, then remove the plastic covers on the horizontal face (shown in your pic) which will reveal further fixings. Then prise back the boot seal to remove.

I have been trying to remove the grey round button fixings. I presumed you slid a fork style tool under the button to remove button/pin from hole but they don't want move. Will be having a look this morning.

If you lift the button head slightly you will see the second part underneath, you need to pry the button head away from that.

Cheers for all your help guys. I have done it lol. I actually had to squirt some GT85 in them to get them to come out.
Painted the panel and put it all back now. Looks much better. |

Difficult to get good pictures of dark things lol. You cannot get the carpet as black as night whatever you do, but its now a lot darker and with all the trim painted black looks much better.

Cheers everyone. Yes the boot is never going to win awards on an E90 and I find it odd that I have seen E91 pictures where the carpet or lining is far posher!
But it looks better than the grey that is for sure. I use Autotek paint. When I stripped out my grey leather interior and replaced 90% of it with M-Sport alcantara setup I used the paint to cover the last few grey bits like the main dashboard. Good results. |

I appreciate BMW needed to make it durable in that position but it really is laughable quality. I had Skyline's before this and they have the cheapest interiors ever but nothing as awful as this. |
