Been looking for my next job & decided to tackle the rusty brake hubs, they were really bugging me & I was close to getting new BMW disc's but these have only been on the car 3 weeks

I have been doing some research on painting the rusty bits so did some eBay shopping

Step by step pic's

I haven't done much with the car lately & am struggling to find things to do next

While I had some time with no child & gf I decided to tackle the calipers as they were black & you couldn't really see them, I think it was Jase's thread on his new E92 that gave me the idea, while the wheels were off I gave them a deep clean including the backs

Also got some F30 tips from the other side of the Forum, I like these as they are straight cut & rolled tips, they are the 320d / 335d ones so larger than then 330d / 325d

The exhaust could do with coming out a little,

Looking for suggestions on what to do next as run out of ideas, toying with selling up & getting something new to play with

Was just thinking about doing this to my rear discs too as they're looking a little tacky despite being less than one year old! Is the f30 exhaust a direct fit or is cutting/welding required?

Surprised I haven't seen this car around, I live near Bishop Auckland and pass through the Durham area to work.

Its E90 330d back box with F30 335 tips on, was a straight fit apparently

Im looking at new disc's as even after painting they still don't look great, they are only done 2000 miles

Nice work, your mods are quite similar to mine and the car is looking sweet. I didn't get round to lowering though and I was on the hunt for 313's or 403's.

I have a genuine carbon fibre rear performance diffuser (they are £700 from BMW).

I think it would look sweet with the white body. You could potentially go down that route, I was going to fit to mine but the cars up for sale and I might try the Audi bug, possibly an A5 3.0 tdi Quattro so I may end up selling it.

I think I'll end up with some 313's but the MV3's seem to suit the car well, these are my 2 favorite E90's both on 313's

Thanks for the comments guys, keep thinking of selling & looking for something new to play with but I still like the car

Some of the paint on the rear hubs was peeling so have had another go today, going to get it booked in to have the exhaust looked at & get the pipes sitting a little further out

Wow that's impressive. I have the same problem but I have more important things to worry about. Like the fact the car is black and need to keep it clean all the time. I don't have any spare time to do your job. Why why did I buy another black car!!!

Even new ones won't last long before they start showing surface rust.

The Pagids on the front didn't rust & before them I've always had genuine BMW ones & they have never rusted

My F30 has genuine BMW disc's, they have been on the car 12 months & 30,000 miles with no rust at all

These rear ones rusted in 2 weeks

So tackled another little issue that had been bugging me, my passenger door card had a odd line of wear across the top, not sure where it has come from & you can't really see it but it bugged me

So anyway ordered a new one & have fitted, not a big job but helps ease my OCD

I have a 320d but changed it to a double tip purely for aesthetics... but I've debadged (also for aesthetics) and worry BMW people will think I'm a 330d-wannabe!
I have a 318d LCI M Sport with the wide exhaust, however I'm also looking to change it to a double 330d style exhaust, looks much better.

The back box change is one of my favorite mods, going to get it booked in this week to have it adjusted slightly as the tail pipes should be poking out a little more imo

Service light has been counting down on the car showing it needs rear beakes but I have made previous threads about having had new disc's & pads recently that rusted so I guessed the light hadn't been reset properly so booked it in with BMW to be sure & maybe get a oil change

Was told by the service desk it was due a service (1,200 miles ish) so agreed to that, unfortunately for me it was due the expensive one.....

But on the bright side the car has full BMW service history by the same garage from new, hopefully this will been seen as a benifit to a potential buyer

This should divide opinion, scanning the other side of the forum & found this, now I am the first to slate people for sticking M badges on their car but this I think I like

Need that tailpipe badly on my bus.
I also hate the big 'M' Badges that people put on but the one you've pictured above looks quite subtle actually!

Mines in at my mates garage in West tomorrow to have the pipes brought out a little, they just need about a inch more poking out the back

Same guy that fitted the 330d back box in case you go down this route
