Car will not start

Hi all,

Firstly I m new to the forum. I was hoping somebody could help/advise...
My car will not start. Some mornings it starts straight away with no problem. Today it would not start. I know its not the battery as that is working fine as the RAC fitted a new one last month. It is a lottery as to know if it will start up. Any ideas??

Regards,
Ben

Hi welcome to the forum.

To help us lot try and help might be a good idea to tell us which E9x car you have, which engine and year.

Could be starter motor playing up, fuelling, or anything tbh. It's difficult without more info like is it cranking but not firing, is it just completely dead with nothing happening at all etc.

You did mention that the battery was changed not long ago but was there a water leak in the battery compartment area as this is a common issue with these cars and can corrode the battery wires.

Also what just popped into my mind is it could be the immobiliser.

Again more information be helpful
