Well I am pretty damn impressed with Impressive Auto (lotsa text & pics).

This is the other side of what we had here to discuss last week.

I dropped my E46 frankemstein last Tuesday (24th) at Impressive for their bumper respray promo, I also wanted the hood repainted as it was in very bad condition and paint was gone completely in few spots (very bad and old previous paint job). John quoted me just $750 for both bumpers and the hood resprayed.

Few days after that there was a thread created on here that were saying how bad the guys are at their job, lots of members from here jumped on it and covered IAC in diarrhea from head to toes. I was very concerned myself but decided to wait and see what happens since the car was already there for 2 days. Also I was questioning the fact that the only complaining people were newly registered users, users that were registered here for years and had no posts and fans of a known and very expensive shop.

I called John around 3rd day to ask what's going on and he told that they just started prepping the car. Day later he calls me and tells me that while removing clear bra from the hood and bumper the old paint came right off. The body of the car is back from 1998 but it was repainted around 4-5 years ago and it wasn't really good job. John tells me that they'll have to strip the hood to bare metal for the new paint to stick properly. As I'm listening to him I'm thinking "here goes the bit where he tells me it's gonna cost me extra 500 bucks". But to my amazement he tells me there won't be anything extra, except that they'll need more time to work on it.

Another day rolls by and John calls me and finally asks for more money He says there will be an extra $50 to remove clear bra from fenders and blend them in. Since both the bumper and hood will be repainted the fenders would stand out. I say no problem and to go with it.

Another few days later and he tells me to pick up the car. I won't bore you with the wall of text and just go straight to pics (John emailed me the progress pics after I asked for them).

These are my pics from an hour ago. They suck because it's dark in my garage and the flash is bouncing from concrete ceiling/floor/walls.

A lot of people seen this 4-door M3 and a lot of them said that it's all go and no looks (it had a freaking zip tie holding the kidneys, look in old pics ). Now it's both

IAC work is stunning, I am 300% satisfied with their work and would recommend them to anyone.
I think I have a reputation of a pretty honest person and a lot of people can vouch for me. I wasn't paid for this review and this is my independent and humble opinion

I've had it for 4 months now. Technically I don't own it (my friend does), but I drive and take care of it while my E92 car is in the shop.

It's always nice to hear good stories like this one. Good to know there are still honest businesses out there who treat customers fairly. Nice ride.

I was going to post in the negative review thread, but didnt want to discredit the OPs experience, or seem like a fanboy but I'll chime in here since I can relate to Onebadmofo. After a year, my bumpers are holding up great (cept I work in Brooklyn and avoiding bumper taps is impossible).

I bought a damaged msport front and mtech rear on ebay with scrapes. Impressive prepped and painted both of my bumpers, filled up license plate holes and rear pdc holes for 500 during the bumper special. When they installed the rear bumper, the guy saw my HID kit in the trunk and asked if I wanted to put it in since the bumpers were off. They installed it at no charge, which took a while since I didnt have the right adapters for the fogs, John just told me to give the guy a tip, which was not a problem. I recently took my splitters off and was worried the 3m tape might pull the paint off but everythings all good in the hood.

I would have to agree with their quality of work. I also got my front bumper repainted during the promo and the paint match is pretty damn spot on. Full respray and fixed my license plate bumper holes along with a dent the size of a softball all for only $200 flat. Very fair price and great work to go along with it. I would recommend the shop 100%%. Thanks again IAC!!!!

Good to hear! When I went to get my aero bumper repaired and molded to my factory bumper, John was very helpful and very professional. Sure the place doesn't look like the other competing NY shop on here but they still do great work. I recently sold my car with the molded aero lip on it but the work was very well done and I never had a problem with it. Here is a picture of the lip molded, I recommend Impressive Auto as a valid option when looking for places to bring your car.
