Maybe I do get flames I just don't notice or see them.

So force the burble to keep burbling all the way to 3.5k (by tapping on and off lightly as if you are activating the burbles) then let go of it and let it coast?
Fixed it for you.

Ok I'll try the tapping trick instead. With my car the way I activated the burbles was just to literally press the throttle down by like, 1mm, it doesn't actually make the engine rev but it activates the burbles.

But maybe tapping it does it differently, I'll try to get some friends record it while we drive haha.

Flame update: nada. But I'm more interested in flames at idle so I'm going to have to get a jb4 and 2 step.

On another note does anyone run their car basically straight pipe with resonators and stock x pipe? I'm considering doing a muffler delete, or at least fill the inside of the muffler with just straight pipes and remove the "dog hair" isolation.

I have my exhaust set up like that. Not "is" though.

Just wanna say finally got some flames down there when driving as you say. It looks pretty sick.

Thats strange. Mine looks like this w. no album cover art. Could it be because I have a 2011?

Thankfully you can get a 100$ Tune2air dongle that lets you bluetooth and still use audio controls on the wheel. If you have a IOS device it also shows album art. I don't though but I still like it. If you get a call it seamlessly answers and switch to car audio. Works well.

Here she is

2011 BSM 335is 6speed
Coral Red Interior
Quaife LSD
BMW M Performance steering wheel

Recently had her coated in ceramic for the winter along w tint for the windows.

Noticed discoloration on the trim. Anyone know the part # for the drivers side? Figured it would be easier to replace vs trying to match the black.

That up north winter life . My car is just getting started for "boost" season. Nice temps in the low 50s at night. IATs are in the high 50s. Waiting to hit the 1/4mi track around x-mas week when temps should go a bit lower. Aiming for something in the 11s. Haven't ran since I went full bolt ons.

Best I could do was 12 flat. This year I am trying for 11.5

Temps are great for you guys, good luck!

My car hasn't seen the road much, especially since the snow hit. Not much going on in my world as far as the bimmer's concerned, I just keep looking at turbo kits trying to decide between upgraded twins or bottom mount single or top mount single.

I think LSD is my next upgrade though.

LSD would be very nice but man they are expensive. I just got new Turbos installed and had to drive straight home and store the car so I have blue balls right now.

I'm impatiently waiting for winter to actually arrive and have snow stay on the roads so I can slide around mine.

I run the Bomiz N54 valves catback. With the valves open, it is a straight pipe > xpipe > hpipe. It sounds about twice as loud as my old 335is exhaust with dp, secondary cat delete, vibrant resonators and magnaflow xpipe going to stock 335is mufflers with golf tee.

With the valves closed, it's more quiet than stock without DPs.

With valves open, it's like unleashing hell at every red light lol... I break necks because of how loud/insane it is.

That's a great looking kit. Couple questions:
- Is the default position closed?
- How would you describe the tone? More or less throaty then your previous setup? More or less raspy than your previous setup?

Default position remains what you last set the setting as so it can remain either open or closed depending on how you shut the car off.

The tone is definitely more bassy, less raspy and more defined tone throughout the RPM range.

See this sound clip:

Damn honestly I wouldn't mind having a louder good sounding exhaust and that one looks sweet with the valve so when cops are there they don't hear as loud.

But if I would get that now it's basically makes all the money I spent with getting cats removed and added the resonators and my exhaust tips basically useless... it's gonna be hard for me to change that.

Yeah that part sucks. I live in SoCal so the lack of controllable valves was REALLY annoying. I had to feather the throttle next the police to try to not get any attention but it would still make noise lol...

I honestly keep my valves shut 75% of the time because I like it nice and quiet as a DD but open them up when I want to romp on it / show off on some other cars who "think" they are loud lol

Do you notice a difference in power open/closed?
