Are BMW dealers serious?

So my clutch is slipping and I've bought a spec 2+ and flywheel to match. I didnt do my research far enough to see that a few if not all the bellhousing bolts are a one time use only. So I called up BMW of Berkley and got quoted 250.06$USD for 11 bolts. How is that even possible?? I hung up before I asked about the flywheel bolts as i needed those too. I'm going tomorrow face to face and see if that was right.

If that's true I'd like to try and get these same day so I can start changing it out. Anyone know of a shop that keeps them in stock or someone that has them as a spare set or not ready to change their clutch yet .Willing to drive for them, but I live in the bay area (oakland).

Any help appreciated.

Just get the steel replacements from fcp. Or see if you have a Fastenal around you. Or just take them to a hardware store and find some grade 8 or 10 steel flange bolts or cap screws with the same threads.

East Bay BMW (Hendricks?) have been good to me for prices, often comparable to prices from online vendors. The one time their parts were a bit spendy were with SS nuts, but Fastenal in Dublin came to the rescue.

Yeah each dealer has their own prices. Definitely sucks.

A bit late to this but I can vouch for BimmerOnly.

That is the people I go to when it comes to my N54/E90, as well as a sort of other BMW's I have owned.

Years of relationship and friendship.
