eBay 4" exhaust tip

Hello guys,

I just got my car back from the body shop yesterday, I had an mtech rear bumper installed, and now my stock exhaust tips look ridiculously small. I need to correct that ASAP...

I looked up on the forums for exhaust tips and it looks like most people like cyba and dimsa tips... But at almost $200 a set, no thanks...

I found these on eBay, they look to be made of pretty good quality for $30 each and I was wondering if anyone on here rocks eBay exhaust tips on their car and if yes, could you give me feedback on the quality, and if they last... Thanks!

Garage List
2005 BMW M3  [0.00]
These look pretty decent..I've had my eye on them in the past, as well. Pretty sure they're on my ebay Watchlist.

Ever since installing my M2 exhaust, I've been wanting to upgrade the single-walled tips, which look a bit cheap (I love every other part of the exhaust, especially when you consider the fantastic price). A local shop (Lou's Custom Exhaust) has a good rep and offers a good selection of Magnaflow tips. I'd like to swap out the 4" single-walled for at least 3.5" double-walled tips.

If you end up going this route, let us know how you make out. Definitely interested!

They remind me of Corsa exhaust tips. My Dinan came with 4" tips. Fills the gap very nicely.

I have a set from eBay. I've had them for maybe four years now, no problems.

I have the same issue. Those look to be a good deal. I might go with these though.

They look the same as cyba's tips but half the cost

Are these tips strictly weld on? Or could you band clamp them?

They're weld on... Not sure if correct but I have read that there isn't enough room on our cars to put clamp on tips on our cars without them sticking way out.

This eBay tip is 4" OD. Any tip with a 2.25" inlet will work.

Nice! See, the 4" fills the opening on the diffuser so much better than the stock tips... that's the look i'm after

Anyone know what the diameter of the stock tips is? I'm at my desk right now, not gonna go outside with a ruler to measure lol...

My thoughts exactly! When I was searching for exhaust tips I was a bit hesitant about going with 4" because I was afraid it would look too big but the second they put on the first one I knew it was perfect.

Ah ok,

Do they need welding all the way around or just tack welded into place?

They don't need to be welded all around, but it's a much cleaner job if it is, and it doesn't require much more time to do it right...
