Mine are getting installed at 3pm central time tomorrow so I'll put up pics shortly after that.

It's either those or some quad tips that would require me to cut my diffuser (I don't like the CF aftermarket options)
You could try out this diffuser

Thanks for the diffuser link, although I really like the look of the stock LCI m-sport diffuser so I would probably just cut it like this if I got quad tips:

The same seller of the tips you guys ordered has these as well. How do you guys feel about them?

I think those look good. They are probably similar quality to the ones we got.

$25 bucks later... Here is the result. Pics aren't great, car is dirty, angle of the pictures suck, I was in a rush, had to get back to work... I'll take better ones after I detail my car this week end.

That rear looks pretty bad with stock tips. That's the reason I'm changing mine.

+1

Plus I don't like after market exhausts (or OEM performance exhaust) for that matter,

I bought a PE last year and ran it for all of 5 miles,
Took it straight off and sold it,
With DP's I find the stock exhaust note to be good enough, decent growl when you get on the gas and no rasp,

So I figured I'm sticking with the stock exhaust, why not make it look better

Install went well, no issues, it only took 30 min. The guy warned me the stainless may crack when they swage it but it didn't. I'm really happy about the result. I couldn't stand the look of the stock tips on mtech rear, and don't want a loud exhaust. For $85 parts & labor, it's an awesome deal!

Looks way better, solid deal as well.

Is it just me or do the tips hang down a little bit? Is that to prevent rubbing on the bumper?

yea they're a bit lower than I would have liked, it looks worse in the picture though. I'll adjust the exhaust hangers this week end to raise them about half an inch.

$60 + tax so it ended up being about $63. Kind of high for what was done, but whatever. I got to help out a local business. The guys were nice and it only took about 15 minutes.

It may be only be but i like my stock exhaust flap sometimes, especially now with the downpipes on long drives makes a difference.

only close it with JB4 when i want a nice quiet cruise but ...

has anyone fitted new tips and left the stock flap in place? or isit located to close to the end ?

Love these and need to get involved!

You can still retain the flap, I still have mine. The flap is down deeper than they need to cut when the old tips are removed.
