quaife install costs

Well, I just had my Quaife installed....took five hours.....IMA Motorsports, thanks to Ivan, Jimmy, and Aaron!!! They service Porsches, BMWs, and Mercedes in Chantilly, VA.....Lots of race experience and custom mods, including turbo mods and race mods for Porsches...and they didn't even have to remove the exhaust system to access the pumpkin....working smart, not working hard....guess the extra two hours was spent reassembling the exhaust system...hmmm

Paid $1525 total for Quaife from Harold at HP back in NOV 2008 and finally got around to installing it. All in all, with labor and accessories like diff oil included, cost $2100...

Best investment made! $1400 is a GREAT PRICE for a diff with a lifetime warranty and a lifetime of driving traction = FUN!!!

This is the first time I've ever had a For Sale thread on any forum get to 3 pages without sale. LOL.

Anyways, thanks for the kind words guys (most of you guys.)

OTOH, a 1-year U.S. Treasury yeld is 0.43%, meaning that Turbo Squid loses less than two bucks by not dumping his LSD - the best upgrade ever for a 335 by the way -and hoping that he will eventually find a buyer.

Useless is not the same as overpriced. You are insinuating that you would be paying too much for the machined product. Well. DUH. If you have no use for it. If you bought a 2jz-gte crate motor for your 335, that would also be a overpriced piece of machinery if you can't/won't use it. Please don't come into for sale threads being Captain obvious or debbie downer. The product is priced quite right FYI and if you don't like it then just leave it be. No need to come into people's threads with BS. I'll make sure to litter any of your future FS posts with, "OVER PRICED AND USELESS!" if I have no need for your item.

It's hard for people to swallow a few K (installed) for something that doesn't make more HP...

But they are ignoring the fact that after this mod, HP from your wheels more easily gets to the ground and turns into acceleration. You make better use of what you have.

I definitely felt a big power-applied handling improvement after my LSD was installed.

wouldn't get any hp gain from this..would get the power you have to the ground much better, and i'd definetly love to be able to accelerate out of a sharp s without spinning the inside tire, & damn you DTC!
having lsd's in my other cars, when i have time to drive them, they feel MUCH more planted to the ground and assuring, the g35 is another story though..but yeah guess the installation alone costs a pretty penny, and once again bmw fails.

No actual hp would be gained but I'd imagine the car would feel faster since all the power is being planted and not wasted by spinning
