A Noob With A Question on M3 Suspension
Hi Everyone,
I am picking up my '06 325xi and I already have a long list of things I'd like to do...thanks to these forums! A specific question I cannot seem to answer through searching is will a set of E90 M3 (06 as well) springs be a direct swap for my stock springs? While I'm in there I'll certainly do the struts as well (approaching 100k) but no sense in getting the springs if they won't fit without more modifications. Thanks in advance! |

Why not just pick up a set of coil overs that u know will fit perfect and will have the same result? People are always parting them out for cheap for lease turn ins

I am only getting some (gently) used M3 springs...
Thanks for the replies thus far and i hope I clarified what I am asking about. Can I swap out my OEM springs (06E92) for the OEM M3 springs (06)?

I think you are going to have some issues especially since you have a X-drive

Well...wouldn't M3 springs be stiffer?
And not necessarily bigger? That was my question and I'll be sure not to waste my time posting here again because most of you have been much less than helpful. In the time it took you to post something stupid, you could have given me useful information. I wonder why I even joined this forum.

Thanks....
That's what I thought might be the case. If the spring doesn't seat into the strut the exact same way, that wouldn't work too well. I appreciate it!

Second of all, there is no '06 E90 M3. the 06 M3's were still on the E46 platform. So your search for 06 M3 springs would get you the wrong parts. Quote:
