QuickJack July 2017 Promo Code?
Hi Everyone,
I spoke with a QuickJack (https://www.quickjack.com) representative and they said they have a $100 promo code running right now on the Discovery and History channels. I can't find them online. Has anyone on hear found/used their current promo code? If so, mind sharing? Thanks! |

I think I saw the commercial this past weekend. I think the promo code was MONEY. I think it was good for $100 off.

Maybe find a way to strap it to the garage wall ? I'd get the 5000# version just in case you ever get a mid-sized SUV like an X5. I think the 3 series might weight close to 3500# with a 3.0L engine and adding fuel etc. |

I've heard owners of lowered cars may be able to slide them in from the side of the car. You can't store them under the car but you can still use them for service.

Might be more trouble than what it's worth but I've seen pics online where people used some 10' long 2"x12" wide boards and even put little blocks on the end as bump stops.

Sorry, I've been out of the country and just saw this. I simply went to a local metal supplier and purchased a 1/4" x 4" x 12' length of Type 304 stainless steel flat bar which they cut into two 6' sections. The total cost was around $100. I place the short rubber blocks at the furthest edges of the jack surface and lay the bar stock on top of it. Here's a photo of my 535i on the lift, resting on the bar stock. As you can see, the bar stock deflection is minimal.

I can't tell from the pictures - are you centering the steel on the quickjack, or is all of the extra length in the front? It appears from this angle that all the extra length is in the front. There ought to be less deflection if they're centered, right?
Did you think about going with 1/2" stock? This feels like a clever solution to add the length of the QJ but I have to be honest - the deflection in the picture (from this angle) is enough to lightly buzz my spidey sense. I don't think I'd be comfortable with any visible deflection. Quote:

I got my 12V 7000EXT going today, I'm pretty happy with it. I'm sitting on about 2/3 of each jack pad but it's definitely stable. I've lowered the X5M so I was only able to use the large blocks vs being able to stack them. I used pressure treated 4x4 posts with my floor jack when i needed extra height for certain things, so I'll look into cutting them down to fit into the QuickJack trays to see if I can find a happy medium.
I've yet to see how it'll lift our E36, E38, E61 or the Harley F150 for spacing but I'm not worried about it. These fuckers are heavy, kinda makes me wish I got the 5000EXT since each jack is like 60lbs vs 100lbs, but my X5M and F150 are both a hair over 5k so I didn't wanna risk it. Nevertheless they'll still fit into the trunk of the X5M so long as they're in the up position...the ultimate in portability
