Ok Ant thankyou.
Do you offer the 310bhp conversion to the public what else is involved? just a map or larger turbo and intercooler aswell as higher flow injectors? Do you offer any sort of warranty? What can you achieve with a 335d ?

We offer all our services to the public, but with the simple costs involved, to be honest parts of it are hard to justify for the gain. We are a private Race team that offers its services to other like minded folks to re-coop some costs second; we do not operate as a profit business. We budget to keep ours cars as close to the front of the Super car pack as possible and have fun along the way. I am in the process of launching our new website www.speedreligion.net that will take over from www.antandpete.co.uk and will grow to be much larger than antandpete could ever have been. It will be a member based community that offers rewards for being a part of and supporting. It may well be of interest you. On the new site, we will have a large Tuning area offering our services and showcasing what we do. Once launched, details of what we do will be on there however, as with any race team, we will never give away free information and so I really cant tell you what we do in terms of change the injectors for ... turbo for... intercooler etc etc. The main applications that we cater for are the models which we race and as such offer far more scope for improvement on these compared ones that we haven’t touched on so much apart from extended re-mapping. As has been said in another topic, a re-map from a reputable company is as good as another once you have bought into their marketing and bang for your buck so to speak and as such I would never try and get you to run one of our maps and say its better. We have our avid followers and so do other people, but we test our products in the harshest way possible before offering them to the public by competing in 1 week up to 4000 mile Road Rallies like no one else. I have faith that within a few months you will have driven our cars and then you will be in the market for one of our d3's, I am sure of it. |

Hi Ant, good write up there. Deffo looks interesting, having just looked at yoru site i can see that some big changes were made to the 330d. A very custom car. (engine etc relatively speaking, but compared to a simple re-mapped 330d)
I think i would be more interested in the d5 tho, as i want to keep the 335d. Do you do 360-370bhp conversions on the 335d as well as the 535d? any sort of warranty? Carlos

Thanks for all the input on this topic.
I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to try a 335d, but to cover all bases I'm on the lookout for a 330dA OR 335d E91 with minimum spec of Leather, Panoroof, Pro Nav & Bluetooth. Xenons/Heated Seats/6FL & later Sep 07 on models a bonus but any unmolested UK car with the min spec above considered (excl. Red/White Exterior & Lemon Interior). If anyone has one that they are looking to sell soon, then please fell free get in touch via pm. I'm a private buyer. Cheers PS on holiday/out of country until 16 March! 330d Re Map
Guys,
I'm new to E90 post and this is my maiden post. Anyway I have read loads of tuning posts over the site over the past few weeks with much interest as I have contemplating getting my 330d re-maped. I have taken the plunge and had my stock 330d (231ps) tuned to 275ps and 459lb/ft. Whilst this may be a modest / safe increase it is much faster than the standard 231ps. I can ony imagine that a 286ps 335d (twin turbo) with no lag at all is still a fair bit quicker. Re map cost me less than £400 and is definately money well spent. MPG under my normal commute is now 38 instaed of 35. Alternative was to trade in and get a ex demo 335d - an expensive £7K+ option????????? As for the auto v manual debate in my opinion the auto suits the 330d anyway. If you are driving hard in a amanual 6sp 330d you are forced to constantly change gear to get the best out of the torque - the auto does this very well - OK doesn't change as quick as you like sometimes even in sport mode but once understood it's a joy to drive Aside from exotic sports (I would defo include current M3 in this category) I cannot imagine how anyone could better a 335d after a re-map for pure acceleration at any speed. |

SP Tuning mapped the car - based in Leicestershire but came to my place of work to do it. I studied a fair few tuning outfits - usual well known ones but opted for these guys due to competative price, closer location to me and some good reviews.........and so far so good.
I am very impressed after driving a few miles at the week end. The car is smoother and more progressive under acceleration with only a hint of lag and engine appears quieter too. I will add some pics of my car shortly. Once I have blurred the Reg etc. Thanks for the welcome |
