E90 transmission

Hi, I have a 2011 BMW 328i with an automatic transmission and I was told there are 2 possible transmissions that the car can be equipped with. How do I find out which one I have in my car?

You have a GM GA6L45R. It’s the only automatic trans for that MY on a 328i.

I would go to realoem dot com and punch in your VIN, or last seven of it. That will tell you what transmissions fit. Should be the GM auto and the ZF manual, but I don't have a '11 328 VIN handy with which to check.
