Only problem I've ever had with them is when passengers throw their knee into them.

They work, but the location isn't the best.

So if you use them for coffee, use a BMW coffee mug and they work great. My only issue is once I'm done my coffee I leave the mug sit in the holder and I'm always worried about what it might do if the passenger airbag is deployed.
