Assuming Saturday or Sunday is best day for those who work and go to school...

OK...this is getting kinda ridiculous. We are all too spread apart on the dates. I think we'll just have to pick a date or else nothing will get done. I really didn't want to do this...so I'm really sorry if I'm picking a date that you can't make it...but...here's my suggestions on what to do. Jeesh...talk about problems with the democratic process.

1) Sunday, April 20, 2008 - Autocross Event
Those who are interested can come out for an autocross event with the BMW Car Club of BC at the BC Performance Driving Centre at Pitt Meadows Airport. This is not an official "E90Post" event but it should be a really fun event regardless. It costs $115 but you get training from instructors from Driving Unlimited and it also includes catered lunch. 2) Mini-Meet - SFU Parking B Lot - Saturday, April 26, 2008
Those who are attending SFU/UBC and want to meet after exams around the April 26 time should organize their own mini-meet. I'm only suggesting the date and place hoping it will make things easier for people. Also if it is on the 26th then people who want to go autocrossing can also go the week after. But I leave it up to the young and hip university folk to decide what day works best for a mini-meet. I would avoid meeting downtown on April 20th as that is the day of the Vancouver Sun Run (and a lot of bridge/traffic mess).

3) E90Post Spring Meet - Sunday, May 11, 2008
As for the actual main event...let's go with May 11, 2008. It seems to be the popular choice (by one vote). Let's say meeting time around 1PM. So here are potential places to meet up:

1. SFU - B Lot
2. Cypress Mountain Parking Lot (has anyone gone up there? Is the mountain closed for skiing now?)
3. Other

Updated with poll for dates. I nixed any ideas for having the meet within 2 weeks (as that is too short notice). So hopefully we can get another good group of members out...I think our record last time was 20 members? Or was it more?

Also, May 19th is the long weekend so I nixed that as possibility as most people go away on that weekend.

So what I need is for people to tell us when they have exams, reading break, etc.

I beleive most of us uni students will be done after april 20th,, i will have summer school starting may 5th.. so i guess anytime betweeen those days will be a good time for a meet.

Guys...if you are voting, make sure you fill in every day that would work for you (not just the best day). This helps us decide which day is best for everyone.

In the past, I've posted information about HPDE with only luke-warm reception. I think most people would rather meet up locally and just look at each other mods.

At least it seems that way. I would agree tho...I prefer a HPDE...or even a night at Mission...but the majority does not seem to think that way. Mission's Street Legal Nights is held on Friday night tho...so might be hard to gather people to get out to Mission on a Friday.

If you're up for organizing a HPDE...I'll support you. In fact, I'll probably come out.

Back again?!?! You're not planning on moving there are you? I suspect money is good (as my friends tell me) but living costs are so bloody expensive over there! It will definately be good to meet up...and cruise...and then promptly lose the guys following us again. LOL.

Nope. I don't hang out in Vancouver anymore. I work out in the Fraser Valley. I must be one of the very few modified E90s out here. Heh.

No. Sadly, I've decided to stop the modding temporarily. Trying to start my own business so need to save money...plus not sure if I'll be keeping my car for long. My lease is up in 15 months. Been told I should order in 12 months to ensure arrival before end of lease. Also been advised that I should not buy out my car as the residual is way too high (which it is). Ugh...test drove the 135i yesterday. Not sure...might wait and see what the facelifted E90 looks like first...
